Genevieve Erin O'Brien

Genevieve Erin O'Brien is a Queer Vietnamese-Irish American Woman on a mission. Erin is a solo performance artist, filmmaker, actor and activist who hails from nowhere in particular. A graduate of UC Santa Barbara, her solo work has engaged audiences up and down the West Coast from Los Angeles to Vancouver B.C. Called a "modern day Virgil" by the LA Weekly, Erin addresses hate crimes, homophobia, violence against women, and more with sensitivity and humor. Her evocative performance, video and installation works deal with issues such as war and memory, transnational identity and belonging, and multiple identities and its attendant baggage.
